The Gateway Garden Jubilee features three new gardens developed by the 2010 Master Gardener class.
Visitors have the opportunity to vote for the top garden design. The top prize for the make-over competition will be awarded at the close of the event.
Featured is the zero-waste effort by the participating organizations. The focus will be to reduce the amount of landfill waste by the use of compostable and recyclable products.
Demonstrations, numerous vendors, public service organizations, research gardens on display, perennial gardens, newly renovated turf demonstration plots, Plant Doc advice, free food and even bouquets of flowers for a nominal fee will be available.
“Loosely Strung,” a bluegrass band, will be performing. There will be a variety of children’s activities in the gardens.
Gateway Garden Jubilee is a “must-see” family event for gardeners of all ages and those who enjoy beauty and want to learn more about gardening.

Springfield, Ohio-The Master Gardeners of Clark County and Ohio State University Extension (OSUE) will showcase their gardens at the 2010 Gateway Garden Jubilee. The event will be held in the Gateway Learning Gardens at the OSU Extension, 4400 Gateway Boulevard, Springfield, OH on August 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is free.
