The Ivory Doghouse features Joe Hochadel (vocals, bass & saxophone), Lou James (keyboard), John Simon (guitar, bass & vocals) and Kevin McCloskey (drums & vocals). This is a “variety band” in the truest sense of the word! Their repertoire ranges from “big band” tunes to hits of today.

Musical styles as varied as jazz, country western, rock & roll, and ethnic tunes are readily performed by the versatile musicians of The Ivory Doghouse.

“A Romp Through American Music - 1930 thru 1980”, will give the band a chance to showcase some of this versatility.  After starting off with a few “big band” favorites, they’ll move into the 1950’s for some R&R tunes that changed the course of American music. Then it’s on to the 1960’s and 1970‘s, highlighting how American music diversified during that time, producing tunes from the “silly“ to the “socially conscious“.

The Ivory Doghouse loves to play the tunes that their audience wants to hear! After the intermission, they intend to play nothing but requests. The band says, “We play for our audience’s enjoyment. What better way to provide that enjoyment than to play exactly what the audience wants to hear?” The guys can’t promise to get to all of the requests, but they will play a good sampling of them.
Join The Ivory Doghouse for an evening of American musical memories!
