The Fortnightly Musical Club of Springfield will have its annual meeting and banquet Tuesday, May 22 at 6:00 p.m. at Northridge United Methodist Church, 4610 Derr Road.  The program is entitled “Win the Beat” to carry out the 2011-2012 theme of “Feel the Beat”.

Nashville, TN (April 17, 2012) ----  Due to the strong support of The Called To Love Tour last fall, a spring leg of the tour has been announced and will once again feature Centricity Music artists, Downhere, Aaron Shust and Jason Gray.   The Called To Love Tour will run through March 15 - May 12, and will be sponsored by World Vision.  Last year’s tour was a hit with audiences and brought powerful and fun-loving nights of ministry across the country.

The Springfield Symphony Orchestra (SSO) will conclude its 2011-2012 season this Saturday, April 28, with Carmina Burana, one of the most popular pieces in the classical music repertoire, featuring the Springfield Symphony Chorale. If you haven't been to the symphony lately, this is a great opportunity to enjoy one of Springfield's treasures. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. at Clark State's Kuss Auditorium in downtown Springfield.

Choral Arts of Springfield is presenting the Lakota West High School Chorale in a performance of Felix Mendelssohn’s masterpiece Elijah on Saturday, May 12, at 8:00 PM at First Christian Church, 3638 Middle Urbana Road, Springfield, Ohio. They will be joined by Michael Young, baritone, singing the role of Elijah; Alexandra Kassouf, soprano; Andrea Spencer, mezzo soprano; and Andrew Jones, tenor.  All are present or former graduate students at the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati.  The work will be accompanied by Robert Nims, Professor of Music Emeritus, Ohio Wesleyan University.
