Man now denies God’s promised provisions and healing power that are so freely given. This denial of decent conduct allows man to abuse the body by unconcern, bad habits, and severe stress. The evidence of this weakened society is reflected in our physical weaknesses, inherent diseases, and incurable illnesses.
It is no surprise that after we have exhausted our bodies battling the masses, taxed our billfolds, depleted our plastic money, and bombarded our bodies with tons of junk food and drinks, that our immune systems run up the danger flag because we become a statistic.
Since the Christmas season is founded on love and joy in accordance with the Divine Order, let’s talk about the thymus gland that is known as our love and hate gland. This gland is much responsible for the immune system’s balance.
The thymus, liver, and spleen must all function properly for defense against all disease. The importance of the thymus gland lies in its protective function against invasion into the human system of excessive volumes of pathogenic, infectious organisms.
The hormones secreted by the thymus gland stimulate the activity of blood in the spleen, activating the production of lymphocytes to filter debris and bacteria. This stimulation extends to the lymph glands in a cleansing and strengthening process.
There are many wonderful foods and herbs that support the cleansing and building of the immune system. Consider cabbage, an excellent cleanser and builder, high in Sulphur, Chlorine, Calcium, Sodium, Iron Silicon, Vitamin C, and Protein. This is an excellent food for the Liver and blood building.
Siberian Ginseng helps overcome fatigue and weaknesses. This herb is an antidote for many drugs and toxic chemicals. It is said to protect the cells against radiation, and it is very high in B-12, B-3, Calcium, Potassium, Manganese, Magnesium, Sulphur, etc.
Parsley is a fine preventive herb because of its nutritional content. It will help build resistance to infections and disease. It is written that tumor cells and such cannot develop where Parsley is present. This herb is very high in Vitamins A and B and contains large amounts of Vitamin C.
Red Clover is a fine nerve food and sedative for the nervous system. Historically, it is a blood purifier and contains high mineral content.
Wheat Grass Powder builds maximum vitality and has the ability to destroy harmful germs and microbes. It is a fine stimulant to transport oxygen to help build healthy cells and replenish the blood supply.
Horseradish is a very complete food and a powerful stimulant to move blood throughout the system.
This kind of balanced herbal program could be your Natural Alternative to a healthy Immune System.
Dr. Frank Miesse
Over 48 years ago, as my wife and I embarked on a new mission field to open a new church in Springfield, Ohio, God had an even broader mission outreach. Eleven years later our ministry became not only one of winning souls, but also of educating and helping mankind in caring for the physical body.
With the commission of Romans 12:1, we realized we needed to reach deeper into the Bible and start our lifetime journey into the study of the human body and pursue the necessary degrees and licensing which would give us the privilege to reach into the lives of many spiritually and physically weak and ill people.
For the past 35 years, we have been your Herbalist Educators, with our business located in the heart of the Ohio Valley at Springfield, Ohio, where we have counseled, taught classes, held regular herbal meetings, and scheduled daily appointments with folks, both locally and nationwide. Watch for our editorials in local newspapers, as well as our local TV programs. Drop in and meet our staff, all of whom are well versed in herbs and their values. They will welcome you with outstretched arms. We’re waiting to be a part of your life so that we can all enjoy a happier, healthier life’s journey together.
