The American Heart Association will be hosting two “Sing Your Heart Out” Karaoke fundraisers to support their 2012 Heart Ball.  The first will be on Wednesday February 8, 2012 from 8-11 pm at Blind Bob’s, 430 E. Fifth Street in the Oregon District in Dayton.  The second will be held on Wednesday, February 29, from 7:30 – 10:30 pm the Wine Loft, 21 Greene Blvd at the Greene Towne Center in Beavercreek.  There is a $5 cover charge at Blind Bob’s and no cover will be charged at the Wine Loft.  Both events are open to the public.

“The idea behind ‘Sing Your Heart Out,’ is to raise awareness of the fight against childhood obesity and heart disease in children, while also singing and having fun.  Participants can make a donation to sing, have their favorite person sing or purchase a wristband and sing all night long,” said Sybil Martin, Heart Ball Director for the Miami Valley Division of the American Heart Association. Guests will join community Karaoke singers, both amateurs and pros who want to try their vocal chords at the microphone and raise money for a good cause.
The 17th Annual Heart Ball, which will be held on March 24th at the Sinclair Ponitz Center, will raise funds to further the mission of the American Heart Association to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular disease and stroke and support the life saving medical research the Association funds each year.  “Sing Your Heart Out” will also support these efforts.
