If you’re a Springfield or Clark County resident experiencing vision loss, you’ll be glad to know there is a local NFB chapter. The National Federation of the Blind, Springfield Chapter, meets every second Saturday of the month. Our meetings are held in the Social Room at the Masonic Community’s Hillman Manor – straight across from the Castle. There is parking available both in front of and behind the building. We gather for a brief social period from 1:00-1:30 PM, with the business meeting from 1:30-3:30 PM.
Attendance at these local meetings is free and open to anyone interested in the issues of blindness and vision loss. Sighted people and those with other challenges are always welcome. If you’d like to join the NFB, the annual dues are quite nominal.
