People often quit working out for a variety of reasons. Most of the time when I see a discouraged person come into the gym they have tried and failed to exercise and get into the kind of shape they desire.

The American Heart Association will be hosting two “Sing Your Heart Out” Karaoke fundraisers to support their 2012 Heart Ball. The first will be on Wednesday February 8, 2012 from 8-11 pm at Blind Bob’s, 430 E. Fifth Street in the Oregon District in Dayton. The second will be held on Wednesday, February 29, from 7:30 – 10:30 pm the Wine Loft, 21 Greene Blvd at the Greene Towne Center in Beavercreek. There is a $5 cover charge at Blind Bob’s and no cover will be charged at the Wine Loft. Both events are open to the public.
The 12th annual Arnold 5K Run/Walk will be held on Sunday, March 4th
in downtown Columbus. The race is part of the Arnold Sports Festival

Just in time to rescue failed New Year's resolutions to improve health and personal finances, the Clark County Health Living Coalition and OSU Extension are launching a Small Steps to Health and Wealth (SSHW) Team Challenge. This free six-week program, open to anyone who enrolls online, will be held from Sunday, January 29, through Saturday, March10, 2012.
