Or how can you say to your brother, Let me get the tin particle out
of your eve, when there is the beam of timber in your own eye?
You hypocrite, first get the beam of timber out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the tiny particle out of your brother’s eye.
So many times the Devil keeps us busy, searching and judging the faults of other people in our minds. I know I have been guilty of this in my life. It is so easy to look at faults of other’s and began to talk about everyone’s shortcomings; it keeps us busy from taking a look at our own life and our shortcomings.
It is easier to point the finger at someone else’s mistakes, instead of taking that same finger and turning it around and pointing it at ourselves. One of the hardest things I have had to do in my life is look at who I am and admit that I have lots of faults and I cannot fix them on my own.
It takes the washing of the Word of God and the Holy Sprit to edge away the hurt, bitterness, hate, anger and all the junk that causes us to act in the manner that we do. GOSSIP is a sin and it’s the easiest sin to commit and we must learn that grace goes a long way when it comes to our faults and the faults of others.
The next time Satan wants you to point your finger at your brothers begin to pray for them instead. Make sure you are working on yourself.
We must learn we cannot change others, only God can. We must let God deal with us first and then we are able to humbly, and lovingly and effectively help others.
