The Soles4Souls Fundraiser is an innovative and philanthropic alternative to traditional fundraisers that allows organizations such as schools, churches, and civic groups to raise important revenue while sponsoring new shoes for children in need in the more than 125 different countries in which Soles4Souls does distributions.
During this virtual shoe drive, the Young Adults of Maiden Lane will be collecting financial sponsorships of new shoes that they will return to Soles4Souls. Soles4Souls will then use the sponsorships collected to send new shoes to children in need, as well as return a portion of the total collected back to the organization to use for its upcoming activities and outreach projects.
“Partnering with Sole4Souls gives us such a great opportunity to help individuals around the world who are in need, that we otherwise would not be able to help,” said Stephanie Riley, a participating young adult at Maiden Lane Church of God. “Instead of spending $5 on fast food, Sole4Souls gives us an opportunity to spend that $5 on something that will make a difference in the lives of children all over the world.”
Soles4Souls is proud to pour support back into local schools and community organizations through the Soles4Souls Fundraiser. “Our fundraising program is a partnership in its truest form,” said Wayne Elsey, Founder and CEO of Soles4Souls. “When organizations like Maiden Lane Church of God Young Adult Ministry participate, we are able to put shoes on the feet of children who need them, while also being able to support that organization’s local mission. This program gives Soles4Souls and Maiden Lane Church of God Young Adult Ministry the opportunity to work together to make a difference—both worldwide and at home.”
Maiden Lane Church of God Young Adult Ministry have been running the fundraising program as of July 11 until July 25, and are looking forward to the support of its local community. For more information or to make a donation, visit www.Soles4SoulsFundraising.org/MLCGYoungAdultMinistry.
