Leviticus 10:1, 2 “And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.”

Jesus said to “beware of the leaven of the Pharisees.”  Today in Christendom we are witnessing trend oriented styles of propagating the gospel of Christ.  Let me explain further.

One example among many is found in the western United States there is a pastor that built a mega-church by doing market research, analysis, and networking.  I’m not saying that these methods are right or wrong.  What I am saying is that when others copy the manner of some who were or are successful in the ministry in a program or such there is an opportunity for ‘strange fire.’
Strange fire is still fire.  It looks and burns like the real thing.  However, this fire is not ordered by the Lord and will not bear the fruit of the Spirit.  It is counterfeiting the anointing!  This does not take away from our following the example set forth by exemplary men and women of God in their walk with the Lord.

We must learn to stand, wait, and listen for the Word of the Lord for OUR lives, Our assignment.  We cannot live by another’s testimony we live by ours.  The greatest blessing in hearing the voice of the Lord is HEARING THE VOICE OF THE LORD!

Don’t look to the left or to the right, but look to the hills from whence cometh your help!  Be faithful, steadfast and true to the One that has called you out of the darkness by name!
