Covenant Offers Job Seekers Networking Group

(Springfield, OH) Covenant Presbyterian Church at 201 N. Limestone Street (corner of North and Limestone Streets) in Springfield is sponsoring a Job Seekers Networking Group for those who have experienced a layoff, are under-employed, or are nervous about job security. It is open to recent college graduates as well. The group meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at 6:30 PM. Orientation for first time attendees begins at 6:00 PM on the night of each meeting.

This free program is geared toward the special networking needs of professional, managerial, administrative and technical job seekers, without regard to religious preference. It is designed to help group members find spiritual support, assistance in polishing their job seeking skills and encouragement to share their experiences and their networks to help each other.

The group has been running just over a year and 13 of the participants have successfully landed positions. On September 15 at 6:30, some of those recent “alumni” return to share their experiences, observations and advice with those currently seeking employment. New members are always welcome.
