Psalm 100 “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” (KJV)
This is one time of the year when most of us get with our family and friend and our church and are thankful for the love, friendships and health that God have given us. This should not be a once a year thing. We should celebrate everyday with a gratitude heat and thanksgiving on our lips. The fact is God gets us up everyday and give us all kinds of opportunity and we take most of this for granted.
His hand is everlasting and His mercy is new everyday. We should wake up with praise on our lips of His goodness, and lay our heads down at night with a praise of thanksgiving on in our hearts.
One of the things that I am so thankful for is that I have the opportunity to write this column every week and share of my heart and the gospel of Jesus Christ to all who chose to read it. I never take it for granted. My heart is that all who come to read this will first come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and that as you walk out this life the words that I give will lead and guide you to His Word and that you will be uplifted and encourage continuing on with what God has for you.
My prayer is that you will celebrate this life God has given you and be thankful for every second of it. May you and your family Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and remember if you have Jesus you are never alone. Celebrate this holiday with Him right in the center of it. Happy Thanksgiving!
