There are so many ‘movements’ today in the ‘church’ to bring in the lost that I often wonder if the Holy Spirit has lost His power.  No, I don’t mean it but look around.  I know the Holy Spirit is as powerful and present as ever.  But, is He being utilized in His awesome drawing ability?

Is Jesus still able to draw people to Himself today?  Did He somehow lose the ability and victory that He established?  Of course the answer to these questions is and will forever be a resounding NO!

Ours is not to look for a new gimmick, program, or plan to bring in the lost, dying, and going to hell crowd.  Ours is to love, live the life, and preach the gospel of Christ!  The good-news that Jesus came, died, and lives forevermore!  

And, let me straighten something else out while I am at it…the gospel of Christ and His Church (the Ekklesia or the called out ones bought by His blood) is and will forever be relevant in this world!  He is the only way to the Father, the one way to heaven, period.  How much more relevant can He be?!  We go around in circles running after one ‘church’ growth fad after another.  Implementing programs and plans and, not seeing the growth of Pastor Smith down the street or in another city, getting burned out and in need of restoration.

Get off the merry-go-round and preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified!  Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”  If I be lifted up – the act of going to an old wooden cross to His death, resurrection, and then ascending – I will draw – His supernatural ability to impart into every human being the knowledge that we need a savior, He will convict the heart, mending it, and improving its lot.

Trust the old gospel message today!  It will save your soul and fill the church!
