Vaccinations will be offered at the cost of $10.00 to dogs, cats, and ferrets.   A local veterinarian will be on hand to administer the vaccines.  Animals between 3 months and 1 year of age will receive a one year vaccination.  Animals over 1 year old will receive a 3 year vaccination, with proof of current vaccination status.

“Animal vaccinations provide a barrier against diseases like rabies for pet owners and their families”, said Daniel Chatfield, Director of Environmental Health, “Since we have had seventeen rabid bats in Clark County since 2006, we are holding the Rabies Clinic to reach out to animal owners who have never had their pets vaccinated. Our hope is that providing the shots at a low cost will encourage owners to bring their animals in for vaccinations.”  

Local residents interested in attending the clinic with their animals are asked to note the following information:

•    All animals MUST be on a leash or in an animal carrier.  
•    Payment in cash of $10.00 will be required to receive the vaccine.  
•    Animal owners are asked to bring prior certificates and tags to the clinic, if available.

In addition to rabies vaccinations, the Humane Society Serving Clark County, Inc. will be offering microchipping of companion animals for $20.00 for each animal and $15.00 if the owner has a Humane Society Discount Card.   Payment in cash will be required to receive microchipping.
