(Dayton, Ohio). A biennial event to celebrate and learn about the Deaf Community will be held on Saturday September 11, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Nutter Center located on the campus of Wright State University, 3640 Colonel Glenn Highway, Dayton, Ohio.

There will be special entertainment including “Vibrations” from Indianapolis, Dayton Public Schools students singing and signing, the latest technology, booths, displays, prizes will be awarded, education & fun. Food will be available for sale, and interpreters and C-print will be provided. Sponsors include: Community Services for the Deaf, Deaf Community Resource Center, Interpreters of the Deaf, Miami Valley Interpreters, Dayton Public Schools, Sinclair Community College ASL Club, Purple, Sorenson, Sprint Relay and Verizon. The purpose is to celebrate the culture, heritage and language unique to deaf people of the world and to educate the general public. All across the country in September, many deaf organizations hold activities to celebrate and conduct public information campaigns to educate people about deafness.
