The Exchange Club of Springfield was named one of the Top 25 Money-Raising Clubs in the country on July 23, 2010 at the organization’s 92nd national convention in La Quinta, California. The Exchange Club of Springfield was in competition with more than 700 other Exchange Clubs across the country to raise the most money for the National Exchange Club Foundation, according to Springfield President Beverly Sewell.
The National Exchange Club Foundation supports the programs of Exchange including its national project, Child Abuse Prevention. The Foundation has a network of more than 100 child abuse prevention centers in 29 states. To date, the Foundation has helped to break the cycle of child abuse for 691,000 families and more than 1.7 million children through its hands-on preventative programs and educational efforts.
The Exchange Club of Springfield meets weekly at Noon on Tuesdays at Linardo’s Restaurant, 2230 East Main Street. Exchange Members contribute their time and energy to a variety of projects and programs to meet community needs in and around the Springfield area.
