In the Daytona race in Feb of last year the car was crashed and was able to be used in anymore races. Jimmy Means wanted to do something more for Sue’s kids so he donated the car to be auctioned off and the proceeds to go to the children. One of his crew members, Mark Sanders, who resides here in Clark County brought the car to Ohio and cut body panels off for the action. Mr Means, has autographed these panels. In addition there will be other NASCAR race used items up for auction there. We are hoping for a good turnout but advertising has been an issue with this auction because of the cost – we couldn’t get anyone to donate the advertising for us. So we have been trying to get it out there the best we can with flyers and word of mouth. The News-Sun is also running a story on this sometime this week. PLEASE pass this along to everyone you know and feel free to print out the flyer that I have attached and pass them out or hang them up!! I hope to see everyone there!! Call either myself or Deputy Dave Perks if you have any questions!!
This Saturday February 3rd there will be a benefit auction for Deputy Suzanne Hopper’s kids at the Springfield Youth Baseball Assoc Hall at 432 S Burnett Rd. Last year, Jimmy Means Motorsports Inc carried a memorial sticker on every racecar that they competed with in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
