James S. Mihaly
James S. Mihaly, 70, of Springfield went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 1, 2010 in his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 5, 1940 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of John and Mildred (Kiger) Mihaly. Jim was a member of Maiden Lane Church of God. He retired with 40 years of service from Navistar. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ted A. Mihaly. His survivors include his wife of 51 years, Shela A. (Shiery) Mihaly; son and daughter in law James B. and Dea Mihaly of Springfield; daughter and son in law Teri and Tom Eichhorn of Beavercreek; brothers and one sister in law John William and Betty Mihaly of Melbourne, FL and Thomas E. Mihaly; sister Carol J. Johnson both of Springfield; six grandchildren Sgt. Michael Eichhorn USMC of San Diego, CA, Ryan Shafer of Atlanta, GA, Crista and Tyler Eichhorn of Beavercreek, Sarah and Justin Mihaly of Springfield; sister in law Carol Mihaly; and brotherin law and sister in law Charles and Barbara Putterbaugh of Springfield; several nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 4-7 PM in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the memorial home with Rev. Mark Martin officiating. Burial to follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. Memorial contributions are requested to the Community-Mercy Hospice or the Arthritis Foundation. Marianna Black Kesler
78, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Sunday August 1, 2010. She was born May 15, 1932 in Piqua, Ohio the daughter of the late Herbert & Leolla (Strawsburg) Black. She was in the last graduating class of the 1950 North Hampton School. She loved her family, only granddaughter and the farm where she was born and raised. She was a red hot Republican and presiding judge of Clark County for 30 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, New Carlisle Chapter. She was an avid card player and active in a local card club with her friends. Marianna is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bruce; daughter, Jill Kesler, son, Eric Kesler and fiancée, Karen Roberts; granddaughter, Crystal Ann Kesler; nephew, Al Strawsburg; other relatives and numerous friends. Visitation will be 4-6 PM Thursday August 5, 2010 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral service will be at 6 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Irwin Roberts officiating. Private interment. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pike Township EMS.
