13TH ANNUAL LITERACY STING

Springfield, OH – The pronouncer announces the word, the team spellers’ huddle to commit to spelling the word pronounced. The word may be a word you are familiar with or never heard of, the team may ask the pronouncer for a definition or use the word in a sentence.  The team then takes a few minutes to deliberate and one team member steps up to the podium to pronounce and spell the word given correctly.  If the word is misspelled watch out as the bee flies in to eliminate that team’s identifying balloons.  This marked occasion is descriptive of the upcoming 13th Annual Literacy Sting, hosted by Altrusa International Club of Springfield.
