Springfield, Ohio – When Wittenberg University Women’s Basketball Head Coach Sarah Jurewicz walks into Pam Evans Smith Arena for a pivotal North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) game against Allegheny at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, she will be wearing a favorite pair of shoes. Just before tip-off, however, Jurewicz will remove them in an effort to raise awareness of the plight of millions of children around the world.

Springfield High School seniors Brian Richards, Darius James and Onslow Williams have signed their national letters of intent to play football at Notre Dame College of Ohio, an NCAA Division II school. Each will receive significant scholarship money.
COLUMBUS – State Senator Chris Widener (R-Springfield) announced that Senate Concurrent Resolution 19 passed the Ohio Senate today by a vote of 32-0. The resolution urges the Federal Aviation Administration to choose Ohio as a test site for the integration of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) into the National Airspace System.
