Barbara Ellen (Becker) McIntosh
Barbara Ellen (Becker) McIntosh, age 78 of Xenia, went home to be with the Lord on June 20,2010, at Hospice of Dayton.  She was born December 9,1931 in Troy, Ohio the daughter of Ralph and  Leona Studebaker Becker.  Barbara graduated from Troy High School in 1949 and accepted the Lord as her Savior that same year.  She attended Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee where she met Richard T. McIntosh and they were married on September 15,1951.  She later attended  Cedarville University.  From 1972 to 1984, she was the Director of  Academic Records and Registration at Cedarville University.  She did many different  jobs to compliment her husbandÂ’s ministry.  She was a secretary, substitute teacher, tutor, bookkeeper, librarian, custodian, and mother.   Barbara was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Xenia.  She enjoyed gardening, traveling, working on genealogy, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard T. McIntosh (April 7,2000) and a sister Marjorie L. Honeyman (May 19,2006).  Surviving are three sons and a daughter; Richard (Margaret) McIntosh of Orange, California, Kathryn (Jack) Gorby of Xenia, Michael ( Teri Jo) McIntosh of Cedarville.   Mark (Danette) McIntosh of Helena, Montana.    Barbara is also survived by nine grandchildren:  Ellen (Steve) Bobertz, Rebecca (Casey) Mason, Carolyn (Dennis) Weber, Martha Hunter, Shane Brooks, Sarah (John) Lewis, Megan McIntosh (fianceeÂ’ Jacob Baker), Amanda McIntosh, and John McIntosh.  Six great grandchildren:   Kristen Brooks, Austin, JeryLynn and Trevor Brooks, Conner Bobertz, and Livia Mason, one sister:  Shirley (William) Lucas of Fort Jennings, Ohio, brother-in-law Harold Honeyman of  Lattimore, North Carolina, and sister-in-law Moya (Clyde) Hamer of Arkansas.   Numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.   Funeral services will be held June 28, at 1:00 p.m., at Calvary Baptist  Church, 1601 West  Second St., Xenia, Ohio with  Pastor David Conrad officiating.   Visitation  will be held two hours  to the service.   Interment  will be in North Cemetery, Cedarville.   In lieu of flowers gifts  may be donated  to the Scholarship fund at Bryan College, 721 Bryan Drive, Dayton,  Tennessee  37321; MIS program of Cedarville University, 251 N. Main St., Cedarville, Ohio 45314or Hospice of Dayton, Ohio 45420.   Arrangements entrusted to Ingling  Williams & Lewis Funeral Home, Cedarville, Chapel.


Ruby Kenerly

Ruby Kenerly, 90, fell asleep in death June 14, 2010 at Oakwood Village in Springfield, Ohio.  A memorial service for Ms. Kenerly will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1601 Innisfallen Avenue, Springfield, Ohio with Brother George Jackson officiating.  Arrangements provided by the Robert C. Henry Funeral Home.


Thomas Nelson Washburn

Thomas Nelson Washburn, 60, of Springfield, Ohio, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 22, 2010, in the Springfield Regional Medical Center.  He was born on June 17, 1950, in Springfield, the son of John Nelson and Mary Margaret (Rice) Washburn.  Tom graduated from Springfield South High School, class of 1968, and in the same year enlisted in the United States Navy serving our country for four years.  He spent twenty-nine years with The Bode-Finn Company in Dayton, Ohio, serving as a loyal employee.  He enjoyed all types of music and was a car enthusiast.  Tom valued most his faith in God, his family, and friendships.  He is survived by his loving wife and partner in life of forty years, Janet Lee (Amos) Washburn.  He is also survived by his three children and their spouses:  John Nelson and Alison (Calabrese) Washburn, Jeremy James and Wendy (Snow) Washburn, and Barbara Lee (Washburn) and Craig Markus all of Columbus, Ohio; five beloved grandchildren:  Alex Kathryn and Margaret “Maggie” Lucia Washburn; Jacob Nelson and Zachary James Washburn; and Tyler Thomas Markus.  Tom was one of eight children and is survived by brothers and sisters:  Jim, John, Sue, Debby, Mark, and Steve; and their families.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cathy.  A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, June 24, 2010, from 5-8 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.   A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Friday, at 10:00 a.m. at Southgate Baptist Church, 2111 S. Center Blvd. in Springfield.  Memorial contributions may be made to the H.E.A.R.T.S. Mentoring Program, c/o Southgate Baptist Church, 2111 S. Center Blvd., Springfield OH 45506.  Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery.  Tom will be deeply missed and remembered by many for both his wit and wisdom.  You may express condolences to the family at www.littletonandrue.com
